Covalense Digital Enhances Csmart Satellite Solution with Partner Self-Service, Guided Activation and Agentic AI

Built on Csmart Digital BSS, this new release accelerates commercial cycles, cuts provisioning failures, and empowers satellite operators to support next-generation IoT messaging, while delivering an intuitive business-user partner experience.

Bengaluru, India — 15 September 2026 — Covalense Digital, a global digital engineering company, today announced a major feature enhancement to Csmart Satellite Solution, its offering for satellite communication providers. The enhancement evolves Csmart Digital BSS, the solution’s monetisation and partner management core, into Csmart Agentic BSS. The release re-engineers the satellite partner experience around business users rather than back-office processes, introduces guided and assisted service activation, and brings AI agents directly into partner operations. 

Satellite communications has moved well beyond niche B2B connectivity. It now spans wholesale capacity trading, enterprise mobility, maritime fleet management, consumer broadband and IoT — with LEO constellations, non-terrestrial networks (NTN), hybrid satellite-terrestrial networks and B2B2X commercial models reshaping how operators run their businesses. In that model, growth runs through partners: ground station operators, capacity resellers, MVNOs, enterprise resellers and IoT service providers. The partner experience has become a commercial variable, not an administrative one. 

This enhancement targets precisely that. It extends Csmart Agentic BSS into the partner-facing layer of the satellite business, reducing the operator effort behind every partner action — activation, enquiry, invoice, dispute — and giving partners the autonomy to transact without raising a request. 

What’s New 

• Partner self-service: The satellite partner portal shifts from a service-centric, process-driven experience to one built for business users — giving partners a single place to see and run their whole operation, and act without going through the operator. 

• Guided and assisted activation: Service activation becomes a guided journey drawn from the partner’s own inventory, with configuration validated before provisioning rather than after a failure — at single-device and batch volumes alike. 

• Agentic AI in partner operations: AI agents work across the design, execution and optimisation of the business within Csmart Agentic BSS, inside defined guardrails — and support partners directly in the portal, guiding activation, answering questions in plain language and raising tickets on their behalf. 

• Monetisation of satellite IoT messaging: Csmart Agentic BSS carries the new class of cloud-connected satellite IoT messaging services through catalogue, rating, invoicing and settlement — turning an emerging connectivity service into a billable, partner-distributable product.

The enhancement draws on Covalense Digital’s work with a global satellite communications operator, engaged over a multi-year, phased programme that moved the business from point solutions to a platform. That programme, built on Csmart Digital BSS, has delivered unified provisioning, consolidated subscription and account hierarchies, streamlined partner integration, monetisation of IoT services and a redesigned wholesale billing capability, with a wider BSS transformation still under way. 

Csmart Agentic BSS remains TM Forum ODA-aligned and API-driven, and Csmart Satellite Solution is available in SaaS, cloud and on-premises deployment models.
